Denim

This is a great material for all seasons.

You can get vintage denim jackets, denim waistcoats, denim jeans, and denim shirts!

On Stardoll, I don't think the denim craze has really been acknowledged due to the lack of denim in the StarPlaza. Plus, the 'denim' part in the search is highly inaccurate since I had to search 'blue' to find a lot of the clothes in the examples below...

Denim is extremely versatile, and can look great if you wear double denim. Use contrasting colours of denim and add a pop of colour, as Katie Holmes has done nicely in the picture below...

Colour Blocking:

This was quite a recent trend in the real world of fashion, and it's something I like to use myself.

I'd advise to stick to a maximum of three different colours or you'll end up looking like a walking rainbow. You could try using a colour like orange in two different shades (pale and bright) paired with another colour such as navy.

Examples in Reality:

Colour blocking is really easy to do and in my opinion, it can look great if it's really well done. Try adding a bold blazer to an outfit, which can really make an outfit stand out without looking tacky.

The Colour Wheel:

Choose a colour (eg. a blue pair of trousers) and pair it with a colour on the opposite side of the wheel (an orange or orange-yellow top). This is a really simple way to decide what colour should be colour-blocked with what.

The A-Z of Stardoll Fashion

This is a new segment that Georgia (geofizzz) and I will be doing.

Basically, every day we get a new letter in the alphabet and choose some products from Stardoll that match the word. We will also talk about the chosen word.

Accessories.

For different people, the word 'accessories' means different things. But I'd class it as something you use to spice up your outfit, whether it be jazzy jewellery, a pair of sharp shoes, some snazzy socks, a beautiful bag, or even an umbrella.

On Stardoll, there are many accessories to suit everyone's styles, whatever they may be. If you're new to Stardoll, it's probably best to buy some of the basics, like a pair of simple boots and a versatile necklace, then you can build up your collection later on to include more unconventional products.
